Information applies to gripper models PT-2000 and PT-2100, also known as Clean Room / Food Handling Robotic Grippers. This product cannot be sold outside of the United States.

RAD’s Clean Room / Food Handling (PT) Robotic Pneumatic Parallel Gripper offers:

  • 2 jaw parallel motion
  • class 1* clean room certification (an independent lab report is available)
  • compliance with FDA requirements for food handling
  • double seals to guarantee the mechanism is isolated from the environment
  • a purge system that removes any pneumatic system contaminants that pass through the seals of the robot gripper from the environment
  • accuracy – utilizes independent force and synchronization systems to assure precision
  • de-ionized (D.I.) water tolerance

Operating Principle
RAD’s Clean Room / Food Handling Parallel end-of-arm Gripper operates through two independent systems – the gripping force is provided through two pneumatic pistons and the synchronization is provided through a double helix that centers the part to ±0.001″ (±0.025 mm). The Clean Room / Food Handling end-effector Parallel Gripper uses a linear bearing system that is constructed with advanced polymers to minimize weight and size. The torque and force capabilities are maintained over the life of the robotic gripper due to the length of the bearing surface over which the loads are distributed.

* RAD’s General Purpose / Harsh Environment Robotic Gripper is Class 10 clean room certified. The purge system would be set to evacuate contaminants as with RAD’s Clean Room / Food Handling Parallel Robot Grippers – all other features and options of the Harsh Environment Parallel end-of-arm Gripper would remain the same.

NOTE: Pneumatic end-effector robotic grippers are used on robots, robotic arms, linear actuators, pick & place machines, and other automated equipment.
